These past 7 weeks have redefined for me, the true meaning of leadership.  Classroom discussions, team projects, and individual reading assignments have reinforced that notion that anyone can become a great leader.  Although my favorite part of this course was the open classroom discussions; listening to my peers share similar stories created a calming reminder, that I am not on this journey alone.
I greatly appreciated the videos shared throughout this course, each offering a powerful message and unique approach on tackling the art of leadership.  This video shown last night, was by far a favorite of mine.  I am already preparing to share this video with my Director for the new divisional meeting, in the hopes of tying this into our theme company theme of working with compassion, treating every client with a personalized touch.
At the beginning of this class, I was discouraged at the thought of not being able to perform at the level of expectation. Last night I listened to Professor Duncan state, "what were my expectations of you?"  The ever vocal, Wayne immediately chimed in, "to simply give our best."  Despite not having my final grade for this class, I am confident that I gave my best throughout these past 7 weeks.  Had the teaching approach been different, I can't guarantee that my devotion to this class would have been the same.
In my experience, there are few professors that possess the power to inspire change; this class for me has done just that.  The insight received from my team, LPI assessment, and among classroom discussions have provided me with necessary tools to mold myself into the leader I hope to become.

MBA Expectations
I unfortunately needed to review the syllabus about five times, before feeling confident that I was not missing any assignment, requirement, or expectation.  Although I am very eager to begin grad school and a new chapter of my life, I am concerned as to how to master the art of balancing all aspects of work, school, and my personal life.  With this class, I hope to gain valuable and life-long lessons that will not only make me more solid professional, but a more influential leader. Some of my expectations for this class include being challenged to "think on my feet and out of the box," learning to create solutions for unexpected conflicts, and gaining management strategies for a troubled economy.
